When safe transition into the community is delayed for current clients at McCall Centre; other eligible clients are caught in acute care settings which contributes to the prolonged wait times at the Trillium Health Partners acute care sites.

It is important to understand that McCall Centre for Transitional Care is designed for temporary stays and that the client population is diverse. This means that personal and specific care is often clustered with a variety of clients with different needs. When clients and their families are safety transitioned into the community, they are able to choose the best placement that is suited for their personal care needs.
